God’s Will on PRSCN

Understanding God’s Purpose

The Persecuted Christian Forum (PRSCN) seeks to understand and respond to the challenges faced by Christians through a biblical perspective. The history of the Christian faith reminds us that persecution, suffering, and opposition have existed throughout the life of the Church. Yet, Scripture also teaches that God remains present with His people and can bring strength, hope, and purpose even in difficult circumstances.

Jesus Christ said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

The purpose of PRSCN is not to promote hatred, division, or retaliation. It is to stand with believers who experience hardship because of their faith, encourage them through prayer and fellowship, and promote peace, justice, compassion, and religious freedom.

A Biblical Response to Persecution

Throughout the Bible, God’s people experienced rejection, suffering, and persecution. The early Christians continued to share their faith despite opposition. Their example teaches today’s believers to remain faithful while responding to difficulties with wisdom, courage, forgiveness, and love.

PRSCN seeks to follow this principle by supporting Christians who need encouragement and by creating awareness about the realities faced by persecuted believers.

A Mission of Hope

God’s will is not for suffering to become a reason for hatred. Instead, suffering can become an opportunity to demonstrate faith, compassion, and unity. PRSCN therefore seeks to encourage churches, families, communities, and individuals to stand together in prayer and practical support.

Our vision is to see persecuted Christians strengthened, families supported, communities protected, and the message of Christ carried forward with courage and peace.

Standing Together

PRSCN believes that no Christian should feel forgotten or alone because of their faith. Through awareness, prayer, fellowship, advocacy, and practical assistance, we seek to stand alongside those experiencing hardship.

Our commitment is simple: to remember those who suffer, strengthen those who are discouraged, and serve with Christ-centered compassion.

✝️ HISTORY OF PERSECUTION IN THE BIBLE

From Creation to the Early Church

“Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” — 2 Timothy 3:12

1. CREATION — THE BEGINNING OF GOOD AND EVIL

God created the heavens, the earth, and humanity in His own image. Sin entered the world through disobedience, bringing conflict, suffering, and death.

Bible Verses:

  • Genesis 1:27 — God created mankind in His own image.
  • Genesis 3:15 — God declared that there would be conflict between the serpent and the woman’s offspring.
  • Genesis 3:16–19 — Sin brought suffering and hardship into human life.

2. CAIN PERSECUTED ABEL

The first recorded human persecution occurred within the first family. Cain became jealous of his righteous brother Abel and killed him.

Genesis 4:8 — “Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.”

1 John 3:12 explains that Cain killed Abel because his own works were evil and Abel’s were righteous.

➡️ Lesson: Righteousness can provoke opposition from those who reject God.

3. NOAH — PERSECUTION AND REJECTION

Noah obeyed God while the world around him was corrupt. He preached righteousness and faithfully built the ark, but the people did not accept God’s warning.

Genesis 6:5–9

2 Peter 2:5 calls Noah a “preacher of righteousness.”

➡️ Lesson: God’s servants may remain faithful even when society rejects God’s message.

4. JOSEPH — HATED AND SOLD BY HIS BROTHERS

Joseph was hated by his brothers because of their jealousy. They sold him into slavery, but God remained with him.

Genesis 37:4, 23–28

Genesis 50:20 — “You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.”

➡️ Lesson: Persecution and injustice cannot defeat God’s purpose.

5. MOSES AND THE ISRAELITES — OPPRESSION IN EGYPT

The Israelites suffered severe oppression under Pharaoh. Their male children were threatened with death.

Exodus 1:8–22

Exodus 3:7 — “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt.”

➡️ Lesson: God sees the suffering of His people and hears their cries.

6. THE PROPHETS — PERSECUTED FOR SPEAKING GOD’S WORD

Many prophets were rejected, threatened, imprisoned, beaten, and killed because they proclaimed God’s truth.

Jeremiah 20:2 — Jeremiah was beaten and put in the stocks.

1 Kings 19:10 — Elijah said that God’s prophets had been killed and he was being sought after.

Matthew 23:37 — Jesus spoke of Jerusalem killing and persecuting God’s prophets.

➡️ Lesson: Speaking God’s truth can bring opposition, but God’s servants are called to remain faithful.

7. DANIEL — PERSECUTED FOR PRAYER

Daniel continued praying to God even when a law was created against his faith. He was thrown into the lions’ den, but God protected him.

Daniel 6:10, 16–23

➡️ Lesson: Faithfulness to God must continue even when laws or authorities oppose righteous worship.

8. JESUS CHRIST — THE GREATEST EXAMPLE

Jesus Himself was rejected, falsely accused, beaten, crucified, and killed.

Isaiah 53:3–5

John 15:18–20 — Jesus warned His disciples that the world would hate and persecute them because they belong to Him.

Matthew 5:10–12 — “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.”

➡️ Lesson: Christ Himself experienced persecution and suffering for righteousness.

9. THE EARLY CHRISTIANS — PERSECUTION OF THE CHURCH

After Jesus’ resurrection, His followers faced persecution. Stephen was killed for his testimony about Christ.

Acts 7:54–60

Saul persecuted the early Church.

Acts 8:1–3 — A great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem.

Later, the apostles and many Christians suffered imprisonment, beating, and death.

Acts 12:1–2 — James was killed by Herod.

10. PAUL — A PERSECUTED APOSTLE

The Apostle Paul experienced imprisonment, beatings, danger, rejection, and persecution while preaching the Gospel.

2 Corinthians 11:23–27

Yet Paul continued his ministry faithfully.

2 Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

11. THE BIBLE’S PROMISE TO PERSECUTED BELIEVERS

Matthew 5:44 — “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you.”

Romans 12:14 — “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.”

Romans 8:35 — Nothing can separate believers from the love of Christ.

1 Peter 4:14 — “If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you.”

Revelation 2:10 — “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

✝️ CONCLUSION

From Abel, Noah, Joseph, Moses, the prophets, Daniel, Jesus Christ, Stephen, the apostles, and the early Church, the Bible records a continuing history of opposition against those who faithfully follow God.

The Bible teaches that persecution is not a reason to abandon faith. God’s people are called to stand firm, pray, forgive, love their enemies, obey the law, seek justice peacefully, and remain faithful to Christ.
